Kaipan 57
Alike Kaipan 47 the vision of Kaipan 57 comes from Lotus Seven. However, this model has more modern chassis, different dimensions and of course the engine. It is taken from Škoda Octavia 1,8 Turbo 110kW and matches all emission standards. The car is manufactured on a custom-made basis. The system works as follows: a customer places an order and a deposit, specifying the colour and possible accessories at the same time. After the agreed period of time, the car is finished and delivered to the customer including the necessary documents upon the payment of the rest of the purchase price.
Although Kaipan 47 is type-approved, which means all cars are manufactured using the same technique, it is a single-piece production and each car is attended individually.
Thus, each car is unique.
Kaipan 57 is being provided as custom-made or in a form of a kit.
Kits - a unique opportunity to get KAIPAN 57
We are capable of delivering Kaipan 57 as a kit. The customer thus works as a co-operator and participates on the production of the car.
In practice, the customer buys either the basic "Type C" kit (i.e. the frame, body, front arms, rear trailing arms, windshield frame, and some other parts), or the "Type D" kit (i.e. "Type C" with most of the additional parts needed, except for an engine with a gearbox and wheels). The customer also receives complete instructions for the manufacturing of other components and their assembly into the final product. Another variant offers “Type F” (nearly completely assembled and matched car without fitted engine, gearbox, wheels and varnish). The car should only be fitted with a VW-Audi 1.8 Turbo 20v engine (e.g. in Škoda Octavia).
When the car is assembled, the customer takes it into Kaipan"s premises, where the whole car is checked for its compliance with the approved type. When the car is completed, a certificate of roadworthiness will be completed and issued.
The car is designed so that its manufacture or assembly are not technically demanding and can be carried out under the limited conditions of a home workshop or garage. This is a long-term practice in Western Europe. This way, this attractive car can be purchased by many less well-off but apt and skilled customers.
Current delivery time:

“Type C” three months
“Type D” five months
“Type F” six months
